Three Simple Ways to Manage Holiday Stress

1476489_938630200845_1625914521_nTemperatures are dropping, the Christmas commercials have already started, and before you know it, the holiday season will be upon us. While the holidays are a wonderful time to catch up with old friends and family – your deadlines still need some attention, too. Here are three simple ways to manage stress this holiday season (or whenever).

1. Remember the Power of “No”
Don’t take on too much. If you have three relatives flying in, a class reunion, and an analyst report on your plate, don’t feel awful if you have to turn down a friend’s holiday party invitation. If you feel badly about missing the party, sending a hostess gift with your apologies is always a nice touch.

2. Work It Out
Even if it’s just opting for the stairs – get some exercise. Exercise boosts your immune system and reduces stress. It’s also a positive way to lift your mood!

3. Sleep On It
Just like mom always said – sleep is important. No matter how much is going on, never sacrifice your rest. You’ll think clearer, be healthier, and feel refreshed and ready to tackle your day. Make the time for yourself!
